Krav Maga
Krav Maga is a highly effective Self-Defence and Close-Quarters Combat System developed by the Israeli Defence and Security Forces. It has been tested in combat as well on the street, and is currently employed by military, police, and security units worldwide. It is also fast becoming the self-defence system of choice with celebrities and civilians alike.
In order to swiftly neutralise an attack amidst the chaos and unpredictability of real-world, violent encounters, Krav Maga emphasises natural body reflexes, instinctive movements and practical techniques. It prepares the trainee in four key areas: technically, tactically, physically and mentally, to avoid, defend against and defeat all manner of armed and unarmed attacks, and does not rely on the trainee's gender, age, size or physical strength.
The key to Krav Maga's effectiveness is its pragmatism and advanced training methods, which enables one to quickly assimilate the skills taught, as well as being able to summon those skills under duress and in unfamiliar environments.

Grading
Students training at Valiant Krav Maga are also eligible for grading. Grading affords the student the opportunity to be certified against international standards and are a calculable measure of one's skills.
The grading system for KMG is divided into four major categories. These are: Practioner Levels 1 to 5, Graduate Levels 1 to 5, Expert Levels 1 to 5 and Master Levels 1 to 3. Each of the Practioner, Graduate and Expert levels have specific curriculum and requirements, and grading tests are conducted to ascertain the student's ability to be promoted to the next rank. The grading tests contain technical, theoretical and tactical subjects covering self-defence and fighting skills.
Gradings are held twice a year and eligible students are given the opportunity to be tested for the next rank. Graduate level students have further opportunities to undertake the KMG Krav Maga Instructors Course and become certified Krav Maga Instructors.
